I've thought about it before.
I just usually wait 'til it looks like there's a lot of traffic/posts on Oppo, then throw my big ones in. People may argue that it gets pushed back faster, but it also makes it much more likely that more people will see it than if you post during a lull.

I've been analyzing that recently, I have reached the conclusion that Oppo hasn't got a very regular traffic pattern.
